Returning home with her son, Désirée searches for connection in the intimacy of daily life with her mother. She finds herself confronted with the silence surrounding the trauma of the Nazi regime and the war — a silence that still shapes her experience of motherhood. She undertakes a journey to heal generational trauma through her own body, as well as her mother’s.
