Mélie, a strict teacher in Amsterdam, is convinced her rigid way of life is the right one—until a student admits they’re afraid of her and her partner begins to pull away. Faced with the risk of losing both, she reluctantly accepts the chaotic help of a colleague and begins to learn how to let go and allow true intimacy.
